We are excited to host your event at the Ohio Union! With 34 unique event and meeting spaces, offering rooms perfect for small gatherings and spaces for larger events able to accommodate up to 2,000 people, it’s easy to find the right space for your needs. Most of our rooms are flexible and can be set up in banquet, theater, or classroom style to best suit your needs.
Reservations for events and meetings in the Ohio Union can be made in several ways:
Online: You can reserve space online using the Virtual Scheduling System.
The Virtual Scheduling System does not allow you to book our two largest event spaces: Archie M. Griffin Grand Ballroom (East & West) and Performance Hall/Potter Plaza. If you would like to reserve these spaces, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call us at (614) 292-5200 to speak with a member of our Sales and Event Services Team.

Student Organization Meeting Space
The first day to request space in the Ohio Union for recurring meetings for student organizations is the first day of the term prior.
Student organizations may request Spring term meeting space in the Ohio Union now. Student organizations may request May and Summer term meeting space in the Ohio Union starting Monday, January 6 at 12:01 a.m. Meeting spaces can be booked online (our preferred method), in person, or by phone. Students can request an online user at http://emsweb.studentaffairs.ohio-state.edu/vems/. Students must be listed on the organization's roster, and submit a request for a web user, prior to Thursday, January 2 in order for the web user to be processed in time to request space on January 6.
The Ohio Union’s own event planning team is ready to assist you in planning your event. From food, to music, entertainment, parking, and more, the event planning coordinators strive to make every event held at the Union outstanding. Furthermore, our event production and student staff will be available the day of the event to address any last minute needs or final details. We look forward to seeing you and your guests in our building!
